Larry Nemecek

Author of the classic Star Trek: Next Generation Companion and Star Trek: Stellar Cartography maps/book set, Okie ex-pat Larry “Dr. Trek” Nemecek now takes global Trek fans backstage every month under his Trekland banner with the pioneering PORTAL 47 deep-dive live/online insider package, plus over 200 weekly visits as host of THE TREK FILES from Roddenberry Podcasts.

Larry also hosts his Trekland Tuesdays LIVE each week since 2017 on his YouTube channel and—outside of pandemics—leads customized day tours of LA Trek’s on-location film sites for fans as TREKLAND TREKS. Just added: video series Dr. Trek’s Second Opinion and Cadet Alice Talks Prodigy!

A longtime guest speaker and global commentator on Star Trek most recently featured throughout the 10-part The Center Seat: 55 Years of Star Trek documentary series on History Channel, his column “A Fistful of Data” for 23 years in the Star Trek Explorer official magazine.

Larry’s own documentary The Con of Wrath is in post-production, and his Trekland: On Speaker remastered archival interview CD set is into five volumes. It’s all why the nonprofit Future Society of Oklahoma named the Norman native a Nucleon Award inductee in 2022 to the Oklahoma Speculative Fiction Hall of Fame. Larry is also honored to serve as a board member and current president of the Will Rogers Ranch Foundation in Los Angeles.
