Tall Chick Cosplay

Tall Chick Cosplay has been in love with costuming from the time they were a teenager. What started as an obsession with doing theater and working at the yearly Renaissance Festival opened into the world of cosplay around 2008. Since then Tall Chick has worked hard putting together character cosplays from all genres. They have been working on their sewing, crafting, and prop skills with great results. Charity work is very near and dear to them and they are a member of several local organizations. Seeing the expansion of cosplayers from all walks of life is exhilarating and welcoming new and returning cosplayers is always a joy. If you see them around Soonercon please feel free to say "hi". 😃

Nobody Recognizes My Cosplay!

We've all been there -- dressed up as a beloved but underappreciated character, only to have everyone mistake you for someone else. In this lighthearted panel, cosplayers share their funny (and sometimes frustrating) stories of playing lesser-known characters and the confusion that comes with it. From Star Trek Orions to obscure anime heroes, we'll explore how cosplaying the unexpected can bring both joy and moments of comic relief. Bring your own lesser-known cosplays and join the fun -- let's give these characters the recognition they deserve!

Alien Minds: Neurodivergence Across the Galaxy

What if neurodivergence wasn't just a part of human experience but an essential aspect of other worlds and futuristic societies? In this panel, we'll explore how sci-fi characters who are coded as neurodivergent -- like Spock's Vulcan logic or The Doctor's quirky intelligence -- challenge our ideas of normalcy. We'll dive into the importance of neurodivergent representation in the genre and how these characters shape our understanding of difference, both in fiction and in reality. Join us as we explore how sci-fi is a space where minds of all kinds can thrive.
