Keara Phillips-Berlin of Cicada Song Designs stumbled into mainstream convention attendance by way of marriage (to local comic expert and conduit of nonsense Brian "Buck" Berlin of New World Comics), but has been involved in fandom and costuming since childhood. She is an engineer, a ceramic artist, a hobby costumer, and avid fan of fantasy and comic books. She loves the overlap between art and engineering, and especially loves applying her STEM mindset to both her pottery and costume projects.
