Dr Paisley

Murray is a fan of many names, including Dr Paisley, Obi-Wan Chernobyl, and Paisleybob. He discovered fandom at the Kansas City Worldcon in 1976, and dove in headfirst. He’s been a writer, editor, publisher, graphic designer, master of puns, con runner, auctioneer, and party host, amongst the things that can be mentioned in public. In the so-called real world, he is a vociferous fan of the Chiefs, Royals, and Jayhawks.

Murray resides in Kansas City, with his partner Margene Bahm, and the Obligatory Feline, Yum! He is spending his retirement drinking fine craft beers, smoking quality cigars, cooking, listening to an ever-expanding variety of music, and discovering (for example) that “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” can be sung to the tune of numerous songs, including “The House of the Rising Sun” and “In-a-Gadda-Da-Vida.” Now it’s in your head, too. You’re welcome.
