Susie Creates

Susie Creates is an award-winning Oklahoma costume creator, professional geologist, mother, and wife. She is most well-known for Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel cosplays, as well as other DC, Marvel, and pop-culture movie characters. She has received awards for her costume builds of Mighty Thor (Thor Love and Thunder), General Antiope (Wonder Woman), and Queen Hippolyta (Wonder Woman). Susie was recognized as a winner of the DC FanDome cosplay contest portraying Wonder Woman with the head of a defeated Steppenwolf. She was also a Marvel Becoming Judge for the 2023 SDCC costume contest.

Susie builds many costumes and props with an eye for screen accuracy. She enjoys investigating the details and materials, including engineering a costume to fit her Amazon proportions, as well as bringing her favorite comic characters to life. Her biggest inspiration comes from female movie and TV-show characters that are portrayals of strength, height, superpowers, or skill. 

She has proudly created cosplays and props for other cosplayers including Mary Marvel (Shazam 2), Thena (Eternals), Moana (Moana 2), Nubia (DC Comic Design), and many props. Her costume work has been displayed at conventions, museum exhibits, and locally for cosplay art exhibitions. She also has a small business on Etsy, featuring small items and digital patterns of costumes she has made. Susie is also a member of the Real Okie Superheroes charity group, donating her time to appearances at local hospitals and fundraising events, in support of children and children at heart.
